The day of 30th June is observed as The United Nations International Day of Parliamentarism every year. this day marks the celebrations of parliaments and the ways in which parliamentary systems of govt improve the day-to-day lives of people the world over.
- It also highlights the anniversary of the Geneva-based Inter-Parliamentary Union, the global organization of parliaments which was set up in the year 1889 on 30th June.

In 2018, The United Nations General Assembly brought a resolution to celebrate June 30 as the International Day of Parliamentarism. on the day, Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) was formed in 1889 that roles national parliaments to promote greater transparency, accountability, and participation at the global level.
