Indian Navy commissioned 4th Scorpene-class submarine INS Vela
On 25th November 2021, The Indian Navy has commissioned the 4th Scorpene-class submarine INS Vela at the Naval Dockyard in Mumbai, Maharashtra.
- INS Vela is the fourth in the series of six submarines and are being developed under the Kalvari-class submarine Project-75.
- Under the Kalvari-class submarine Project-75, Mazagon Dock Shipbuilders Ltd has developed the fourth Scorpene-class submarine INS Vela in collaboration with M/s Naval Group of France.
