Indian High Commission in Ottawa announced the resumption of visa services for entry visa, business visa, medical visa, and conference visa categories in Canada. The Commission removed a suspension that lasted nearly a month.

In September, India had “suspended till further notice” its visa services in Canada following statements by Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau about the suspected involvement of “agents of the Indian government” in the killing. India strongly refused these allegations, which it considered “absurd and motivated,” and reciprocated by expelling a Canadian diplomat.
