Hyderabad as 2020 Tree City of the World by FAO
The Arbor Day Foundation and the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation- FAO has selected Indian city Hyderabad as the 2020 Tree City of the World. Hyderabad is the only city in India to be recognised as the Tree City.
- Most of the cities were selected from countries such as United States, United Kingdom, Canada and Australia.
- 2020 Tree Cities of the world recognition was the 2nd year of the programme and it lists 120 cities from 63 different nations.
