Harsh Vardhan Shringla named as India’s G20 chief coordinator

Harsh Vardhan Shringla named as India’s G20 chief coordinator – Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla will be elected as coordinator for the G20 summit. India is going to host the G20 summit in 2023.

• Shringla will assume the charge as G20 coordinator on May 1st, 2022.
• At present, Shringla is serving as India’s ambassador to Nepal and will retire on 30th April 2022. Piyush Goyal, the Indian Commerce Minister will remain as G20 sherpa.

G20 Bali Summit 2022

• G20 Bali Summit 2022 will be held as the 17th meeting of the G20 Heads of State and Government Summit.
• It will be conducted in Bali, Indonesia from November 15th and November 16th, 2022 under the Presidency of Indonesia.
• The theme of the G20 Bali Summit 2022 is “Recover Together Recover Stronger”.
