Former CBDT Chief PC Mody as new Secretary-General of Rajya Sabha
The former Central Board of Direct Taxes Chairman P.C. Mody has been appointed as the new secretary-general (SG) of Rajya Sabha. the new secretary-general (SG) of Rajya Sabha has replaced the incumbent SG, P.P.K. Ramacharyulu, who had been appointed a little over two months ago.
- With his appointment, Mody has become the first IRS officer as Rajya Sabha SG.
- Modi is a 1982-batch retired IRS officer and has served as the chairman of the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT).
