First India-Nepal Bharat Gaurav tourist train flagged off – The inaugural Bharat Gaurav train has arrived at the Janakpur Dham railway station in Nepal with 500 tourists from India. Bharat Gaurav train connects destinations associated with Ramayana Circuit in India and Nepal.

  • The 14-coach train was flagged off from Delhi’s Safdarjung railway station and arrived at Janakpur Dham station.
  • The train operating on the Ramayana Circuit will cover the religious destination of Janakpur (Nepal) and other popular destinations such as Ayodhya, Nandigram, Sitamarhui, and Varanasi, Prayagraj, Chitrakoot, Panchvati (Nasik), Hampi, Rameshwaram and Bhadrachalam.
  • The Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation’s (IRCTC) 18-day Shri Ramayana Yatra special tourist train will carry pilgrims to sacred places associated with the life of Lord Ram.
