Female Labour Force Participation Rate

Female Labour Force Participation Rate – The Ministry of Statistics and Programme Implementation has released The Periodic Labour Force Survey Report for 2022-23 on October 9, 2023. The report shows that more women in India are actively participating in the workforce. The Female Labor Force Participation Rate increased by 4.2 percentage points, reaching 37.0% in 2023.

Girls’ Education – The govt kicked off various programs to promote girls’ education, ensuring they have access to quality schooling.

Skill Development – In order to equip women with the necessary skills for better job opportunities, The govt is running various skill development programs.

The Labor Force Participation Rate (LFPR) is an important economic indicator, indicating the percentage of the population within working age, usually 15 to 64, who are either employed or actively seeking employment.
