The Sahitya Akademi, India’s premier literary institution, conferred upon Dilip Nongmaithem, an accomplished author in the Manipuri language, for his remarkable work titled “Ibemma Amasung Ngabemma”. The Sahitya Akademi recognizes and celebrates outstanding literary contributions with the prestigious ‘Bal Sahitya Puraskar‘ for the year 2023. Dilip Nongmaithem’s book, “Ibemma Amasung Ngabemma,” received unanimous acclaim from the jury.

A three-member Panel, namely Dr. Hamom Nabachandra Singha, Dr. Khundongbam Gokulchandra Singh, and Prof. Naorem Bidyasagar Singha ensure that only the most deserving authors receive this esteemed recognition.
Bal Sahitya Puraskar
The Bal Sahitya Puraskar is presented to mark a special place in the literary landscape of India. It was instituted in 2010for honoring writers for their exceptional contributions to the field of children’s literature.
The award contains copper-plaque, symbolizing the recognition of the author’s literary achievement, and a monetary prize of ₹50,000.
