Defence Acquisition Council (DAC) has decided to entrust capital procurement powers to Armed Forces. this decision came out after Meeting of the Defence Acquisition Council which was headed by Defence Mantri Rajnath Singh. due to this, the Armed Forces will get instant Capital Acquisition Cases up to Rs 300 crores to complete their emergent operational requirements.
These powers will help to decrease the procurement timelines of the Armed Forces. more importantly, this decision will ensure the placement of all orders within six months and the delivery within one year duration time.
