National Centre for Avian Ecotoxicology opening 

  • Prakash Javadekar did opening of the Salim Ali Center for Ornithology and Natural Sciences (SACON) National Center for Avian Ecotoxicology in Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu.
  • The center would research the motion of contaminants from the environment through the food chain such as pesticides, heavy metals, polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbons, polychlorinated biphenyls and narcotics, and their damaging impacts on birds.

Minister of Textiles Smriti Irani starts a Scheme for sustainable fashion

  • Union textile minister Smriti Zubin Irani initiated a venture aimed at moving towards sustainable fashion that adds to a smooth atmosphere. Project SU.RE (Sustainable Resolution), which includes 16 major retail fashion brands, represents Mahatma Gandhi’s thinking and represents a move towards accountable and intelligent company. India’s apparel industry’s SU.RE initiative seeks to provide the fashion industry with a sustainable route.

Rajasthan get first place in free medicine scheme implementation

  • The flagship free medicine system of Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot obtained the highest place in the nation in the National Health Mission (NHM) classification.
  • The NHM evaluated state results on the grounds of efficient execution of the Drugs and Vaccine Distribution Management System (DVDMS), inventory of essential drugs, the significance of expiring drugs along with other such parameters, which are 10 in full. In the state, the scheme was launched on October 2, 2011.

CVC establishes a 4-member Banking Fraud Advisory Board

  • The Central Vigilance Commission has established a four-member Banking Fraud Advisory Board. Former Vigilance Commissioner T.M. Bhasin will lead the ABBF. The committee will operate as the first stage of scrutiny of all major instances of fraud.
  • Lenders will report all major instances of fraud above Rs 50 crore to the committee and the bank involved would bring further intervention on such issues upon completion of its recommendation or guidance.

  • Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched the $4.2 million refurbishment scheme for Lord Sri Krishna’s 200-year-old temple in Manama, Bahrain, and said the strong ties between India and Bahrain are evident.

NASA honors Rolling Stones by giving group names to rock on Mars

  • NASA stated that the famous English group, The Rolling Stones, has given name a rock on Mars

  • Indian shuttler PV Sindhu earned the championship of the BWF World Championships by beating Nozomi Okuhara of japan 21-7, 21-7 at St. Jakobshalle in Basel, Switzerland in single matches.
  • Sindhu became the first Indian to win a gold medal at the World Championships by gaining the award.

Komalika Bari got title of World Archery Youth Championships

  • In the recurve cadet women’s championship to earn a gold medal at the 2019 World Archery Youth Championships in Madrid, Spain, Indian Komalika Bari beat Japan’s Waka Sonoda.
  • Bari earned her first significant tournament, becoming the fifth archer from India to keep a globe championship.

In foreign Tests, Kohli becomes the most effective Indian captain

  • As India recorded a full 318-run victory over West Indies in the first two-game group test, skipper Virat Kohli introduced another feather to his cap, becoming the most popular Indian captain in foreign testing.
  • To accomplish the achievement, Kohli passed previous captain Sourav Ganguly. This was the 12th over – the-counter test win for Kohli. He broke records as a skipper in his 26th game. From 28 tests, Ganguly had 11 test victories.

Alex Rins got British Grand Prix

  • Alex Rins of Team SUZUKI ECSTAR, Spain’s motorcycle racer, earned the British Grand Prix. Marc Marquez was beaten by 0.013 seconds.
