Survey For Rural Sanitation
- Union Jal Shakti Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat has introduced the 2019 Swachh Survekshan Grameen, which will be three times larger than the previous edition of the rural health study.
- The survey will cover about 700 districts and more than 17,000 villages across 34 states and union territories. The study covered over 6,000 villages across the nation in the first edition of 2018.
- The survey will concentrate on strong waste and plastic waste management and making villages open defecation-free (ODF) in the past year’s practice.
Railway Minister Piyush Goyal builds the first batch of Railway Safety Commandos
- Union Railway Minister Piyush Goyal initiated the first Railway Security Commandos (CORAS) batch. The commandos will be on duty in regions impacted by the left extremist wing for passenger safety.
- High-tech equipment will be available to commandos. Team will be trained under world-class and train fellow staff of the Railway Protection Force.
- Indian Railways will also establish a new state-of- the-art Railway Protection Force (RPF) commando training center in Jagadhri, Haryana, with access to state-of – the-art technology, the facilities will be available to modernize and train RPF .

- Indian Railways Railway Protection Force (RPF) initiated a Code Name Special Drive – Operation “Number Plate” to identify and check for longer length all cars parked in railway facilities, circulating area, parking spaces and even in ‘ No Parking ‘ regions.
