CRCS Sahara Refund Portal: Login Link, Claim Process, Who can apply online? – Sahara India Refund Portal Link (mocrefund.crcs.gov.in), Online Claim Process, Documents Required (July 2023): The Union Government launched CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal On July 19th, 2023. The portal was launched by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah in Delhi. The portal aims to help crores of depositors of Sahara Group claim their money back.
Union Minister Amit Shah said while launching the refund portal “The process of returning the money of depositors, which was stuck in four cooperative societies of Sahara Group, has started with the launch of the Sahara Refund Portal,”
Who can apply?
Eligible depositors of four Sahara group societies – Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Ltd., Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd., Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd. and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd – will be able to apply for a refund on the CRCS Sahara Refund Portal.

How much money will be refunded?
People can check the full details about the refund in the FAQ shared on the Sahara Refund Portal (https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in/Faq).
In the first phase, the refund portal will issue up to Rs 5000 crore to depositors. However, each depositor will be able to get only Rs 10,000 in the first phase.
How to apply on Sahara Refund Portal: Two conditions
In order to claim a refund, the depositor’s Aadhaar should be linked to their Mobile numbers and Bank accounts. along with the receipt details. depositors will require to download a form, fill it and re-upload it on the portal for further processing of the refund.
How long will it take to get a refund?
Shah said that the money will be deposited into the bank account of the claimants within 45 days.

The main purpose of the CRCS-Sahara Refund Portal is to protect the interests of members of the cooperatives. The portal aims to help address the genuine claims of depositors who had invested money in Sahara Group’s cooperative societies namely – Sahara CreditCooperative Society Ltd, Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Ltd, Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Ltd, and Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Ltd.

How to register on Sahara Refund Portal: Step-by-step guide
If people are looking to register on the Sahara refund portal to claim money back, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Visit the Home Page of CRCS Sahara Refund Portal (https://mocrefund.crcs.gov.in) and click on ‘Depositor Registration.’
Step 2: Enter the required details like the last 4 digits of your Aadhaar Card, and mobile number linked with your Aadhaar, on the Registration Page accurately. Then click on ‘Get OTP’ and enter the OTP received on your mobile number.

Sahara Refund Fee: Do you have to pay any fee?
No. As per the ministry, the refund application is free of cost. There are no applicable charges will be taken for filing the Claim form.

Eligibility for Refund: Who can file a claim online?
As per the Ministry, to be eligible for a refund, the depositors who made deposits and have outstanding dues receivable before the following dates, for filing a claim request:
22nd March 2022 for: Humara India Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Kolkata.Sahara Credit Cooperative Society Limited, Lucknow.Saharayan Universal Multipurpose Society Limited, Bhopal.
29th March 2023 for: Stars Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited, Hyderabad
