Civil rights leader Cordy Tindell Vivian passed away
- The Famous civil rights veteran Mr Rev Cordy Tindell Vivian has died. Tindell has led the Southern Christian Leadership Conference (SCLC) and also was chosen as interim president in 2012. Cordy made a lot of efforts to organize the Freedom Rides to make them one buses in the south and trained waves of activists in non-violent protest.
- Due to these his efforts, he was awarded with presidential medal of freedom in 2013 from American former president Barack Obama. he also made efforts to register Black voters in Selma, Alabama, that sparked hundreds.
