China launches earth science satellite named Guangmu

China has launched an Earth science satellite called Guangmu into space from the Taiyuan Satellite Launch Center in the northern Shanxi Province. The satellite was sent by a Long March-6 carrier rocket and has entered the planned orbit.

  • China’s new satellite accounts for the 395th flight mission of the Long March rocket series.
  • The Chinese Academy of Sciences has Developed and the satellite (SDGSAT-1) is the world’s first space science satellite that has been dedicated for the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development.
