Border Haat between India and Bangladesh inaugurated at Bholaganj in Sylhet – Under the Companiganj upazila of Sylhet, A new Border-Haat between India and Bangladesh was inaugurated by Expatriates’ Welfare and Overseas Employment Minister of Bangladesh Imran Ahmed and Assistant High Commissioner of India Niraj Kumar Jaiswal jointly in Bholaganj.

  • Border Haat at Bholaganj on the border between Sylhet in Bangladesh and East Khasi Hills of Meghalaya is the 4th Border Haat in Sylhet division out of which three are currently functional.
  • The first Border Haat was inaugurated in 2011 in the West Garo Hills district of Meghalaya at Kalaichar and Kurigram in Bangladesh.
