ArFuture, also known as Arkansas Future Grant, is a scholarship offered by the state of Arkansas. The main objective of the scholarship is to invest in students from Arkansas, awarding 100 scholarships worth up to $30,000 each.

This program is for applicants from the STEM field, that is, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. Students can be eligible to apply and get the award.

Students must have enrolled at a university and have graduated from an Arkansas high school. Apart from this, the recipients must be residents of the state for at least three years before the application.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Must have either graduated from an Arkansas public school, private school, or home school or received a high school equivalency diploma approved by the Department of Career Education; or
  • The applicant has lived within the state for the 3 years immediately preceding the application and has either:
  • Graduated from an out-of-state high school, private school, home school, or received a high school equivalency diploma approved by another state.
  • Must have enrolled part-time or full-time at an approved institution of higher education in a program of study that leads to an associate degree or a certification in a STEM or regional high-demand field.

Grants Details

An Arkansas Future Grant will cover the tuition, fees, and other charges incurred by students less the amount received from state-supported scholarships, federal student financial assistance, and private scholarships.

Application Process

  • Fill out a FAFSA (financial aid) form to apply for this grant.
  • Must be enrolled at a university or have graduated from high school.
  • This scholarship will be first come, first served, so students must be one of the first to submit if they can have a chance of being awarded.
  • The applicants should be employed up to 6 months after graduation to continue with the scholarship.

Students will be selected based on who applies first and served first. You will not need to complete the requirements other than having the financial need form
