35th edition of FAO Regional Conference

The 35th Edition of Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific (APRC 35) has been taken place virtually amid CoronaVirus Disease. Bhutan hosted the Conference and headed also. from the India side, Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Parshottam Rupala joined the conference.

  • The main objective of the conference was to focus on regional priorities and issues for eg COVID-19, the state of agriculture, proper management of natural resources, food security, nutrition and so on.
  • In the year 2022, Bangladesh is going to host the 36th edition of Regional Conference for Asia and the Pacific. Bangladesh will be ready to host the first time.
  • Bangladesh became part of the organisation in 1973. the Regional Conference is organized once in 2 years. In 1953, India hosted the first regional conference that took place in Bangalore.
