1st Kisan Rail in India
- The Indian railway is going to start its “Kisan Rail” services in order to transport perishable goods and Kisan Rail starts its services from today. Kisan Rail will cover the route between Devlali in Maharashtra’s Nashik and Danapur in Bihar. it will take more than 31 hours to reach the destination. Union Minister of Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar and Railway Minister Piyush Goyal has flagged off The train via a video conferencing.
About Kisan Rail:
- The govt is looking for doubling farmers’ incomes by the year 2022. the launch of Kisan Rail will aim to increase farmers’ income.
- This train will carry agricultural products such as vegetables, fruits to the market and train will take a short period of time.
