1952 Olympics marathoner and 1951 Asiad-medallist Surat Singh Mathur died
The marathoner from India Surat Singh Mathur has taken his last breath at the age of 90. he was suffering from Covid-19.
- He completed the Olympic marathon race at the 1952 Helsinki Games.
- Mathur completed the marathon at the 52nd place in 2:58.92s.
- in addition, he also earned a bronze medal for India at the first Asian Games in 1951.
