16th Global Risks Report by World Economic Forum
The World Economic Forum (WEF) has released the 16th edition of the Global Risks Report in partnership with Marsh McLennan, SK Group and Zurich Insurance Group.- The main purpose of the report is to make the best preparations by Govt and other International Communities in a period of crisis.
- The Global Risks Perception Survey (GRPS) was conducted to make the report and more than 650 members WEF’s diverse leadership communities led this Survey.
Highlights –
Three types of threats/ Risks| Short term (0-2 years) | infectious diseases, livelihood crises, digital inequality, youth disillusionment |
| Medium-term (3-5 years) | asset bubble bursts, IT infrastructure breakdown, price instability, debt crises |
| Long term (5-10 years) | weapons of mass destruction, state collapse, biodiversity loss, adverse technological advances |
