The World Economic Forum (WEF) has released the 16th edition of the Global Risks Report in partnership with Marsh McLennan, SK Group and Zurich Insurance Group.
  • The main purpose of the report is to make the best preparations by Govt and other International Communities in a period of crisis.
  • The Global Risks Perception Survey (GRPS) was conducted to make the report and more than 650 members WEF’s diverse leadership communities led this Survey.

Highlights –

Three types of threats/ Risks
Short term (0-2 years) infectious diseases, livelihood crises, digital inequality, youth disillusionment
Medium-term (3-5 years) asset bubble bursts, IT infrastructure breakdown, price instability, debt crises
Long term (5-10 years) weapons of mass destruction, state collapse, biodiversity loss, adverse technological advances
