14 New Unified Tariff Structure for natural gas
The Petroleum and Natural Gas Regulatory Board has unveiled 14 (fourteen) new tariff structures. these will be for natural gas pipelines. the main goal of it to decrease the cost of natural gas for those people who are living from the gas and LNG.
More Points –
- As per the new flat-rate structure, users will be able to purchase natural gas at a fixed price within 300 kilometres from the source.
- This move will help in reducing the price for buyers who are living far away from the gas source and users will need to pay money based on the number of pipes and distance.
- As well as, users will get benefit who are using multiple channels.
- The Govt of India is wanting to boost the natural gas consumption to 15 per cent by the year 2030. at present, the consumption is at 6.2 per cent.
