Every year, people celebrates 8th June as World Ocean Day across the world. it aims to create awareness about the importance of the ocean in our lives and the methods through which we can protect it.
The Aim of Day is to share information of impact of human actions on the ocean to the general public and to develop a worldwide movement of citizens for the ocean.
World Oceans Day 2020 Theme :
theme 2020 : “Innovation for a Sustainable Ocean.” Theme points about Innovation, is related to introduction of the latest methods, ideas, or products and it is a dynamic term and one that is fundamentally filled with hope.
History :
in 1992, The Canadian Govt put the concept of World Ocean Day, at the Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro. in 2008, United Nations General Assembly made 8 June as World Ocean Day Officially.
