World Bank approved a US$ 700 million loan to Sri Lanka– The World Bank approved a significant loan of $700 million in order to boost to crisis-hit Sri Lanka. With the significant loan of $700 million approved, approximately $500 million will be used for budget support and the remaining $200 million will be used for offering assistance to those hardest hit by the current crisis.
