V Vidyavathi as DG of ASI (Archaeological Survey of India)
- V. Vidyavathi is elected as the new Director-General of Archaeological Survey of India(ASI). Vidyavathi is serving as an IAS officer from 1991 year batch Karnataka cadre officer. her appointment will come into effect from 12th May 2020.
- Also, Vidyavathi will be working in the rank of Additional Secretary to the Indian Government. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet approved her Appointment as New DG and Cabinet was headed by Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
