UP’s Ranipur Tiger Reserve Becomes 53rd Tiger Reserve of India – Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh has become the 53rd tiger reserve in India. Ranipur Tiger Reserve in Uttar Pradesh is spread over 529.36 sq km (core area 230.32 sq km and buffer area 299.05 sq km), the new tiger reserve will play a role in strengthening our tiger conservation efforts.

  • This will be the 54th Tiger Reserve in India. Guru Ghasidas National Park of Chhattisgarh is the 53rd Tiger Reserve in India.

Ranipur Wildlife Sanctuary (RWS) in Chitrakoot district

  • RWS founded in 1977, has no resident tiger. 
  • The Ranipur Tiger Reserve will become the fourth in UP.
  • It will also be the 1st in the Bundelkhand region of the state.
