India-Egypt Strategic Partnership

India and Egypt took significant steps for the purpose of enhancing their bilateral cooperation through a strategic partnership agreement. India and Egypt signed a multi-purpose Strategic partnership agreement on June 25th, 2023, following bilateral talks with Prime Minister Modi and Egyptian President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi.

  • The multi-purpose strategic partnership agreement will help in promoting the development of the two countries in the field of military technology, space research and various other fields.

Government approves wage hike of Coal India’s non-executive employees

The Coal Ministry approved a wage revision agreement that was reached with trade unions for non-executive employees of Coal India Limited. The agreement will offer a 19% of the minimum guaranteed benefit from July 1, 2021, on emoluments – basic, Variable Dearness Allowance (VDA), Special Dearness Allowance (SDA), and attendance bonus – besides a 25%increase in allowances.

  • The MoA (memorandum of agreement) for NCWA-XI was signed by Coal India Limited, Singareni Collieries Company Limited, and trade union representatives.

Assam’s first underwater railway tunnel will be built from Numaligarh to Gopur, announced by Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sharma. nearly Rs.6,000 crores will be spent on this project and it will be located under the Brahmaputra river for a length of approximately 35 kilometers.

Haryana Cabinet approved the biggest metro link

The Haryana state government approved the state’s biggest metro link from Ballabgarh to Palwal for quick travel to the National Capital Region (NCR) on June 25th, 2023. the biggest metro link will enhance the development of all areas route to the National Capital Region.
