On 30 January 2021, Tamil Nadu defeats Baroda by 7 wickets in the final and became the winner of the Syed Mushtaq Ali T20 Trophy 2020-21.

• The Final match was played at Sardar Patel Stadium (Motera Stadium), Ahmedabad and this tournament was 25th Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
• Dinesh Karthik as leading Tamil Nadu team as Skipper.
• In the Final match, Tamil Nadu was given a target of 121 runs and they achieved the target in just 18 overs with 7 wickets.
• This was the nd time when Tamil Nadu clinched Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy (SMAT) title. before it, the team won SMAT title in 2006-07.
