About World Sanskrit Day
- In 2021, the Sanskrit Day is going to be observed by the people on August 22, 2021 which also marks the occasion of Raksha Bandhan each year. The day is celebrated on the full moon day of the month of Shravan.
- The First World Sanskrit Day was declared in 1969, by the Govt of India on the occasion of Raksha Bandhan.
