Praveen Kumar Srivastava Sworn In as Central Vigilance Commissioner

Praveen Kumar Srivastava Sworn In as Central Vigilance Commissioner – President Droupadi Murmu swore Vigilance Commissioner Praveen Kumar Srivastava as the Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC). Vice-President Jagdeep Dhankhar and Prime Minister Narendra Modi were also present.

  • Srivastava served as the acting Central Vigilance Commissioner (CVC) following the completion of his predecessor Suresh N. Patel’s tenure.
  • The 1988-batch Indian Administrative Service officer of the Assam-Meghalaya cadre retired as Secretary (Coordination) of, the Cabinet Secretariat, on January 31, 2022.
  • He also served as the Chief Vigilance Officer in RITES Limited and Joint Secretary and Mission Director, of Jawaharlal Nehru National Urban Renewal Mission.
