Passport Seva Divas 2021
Every year, the Ministry of External Affairs celebrates the Passport Seva Divas on 24th June in India. On this day, the Passports Act, 1967 was implemented in the year 1967. In India, The first Passport Seva Divas was celebrated in 2013.
Passport Act
- The Passport Act highlights the procedures of getting an Indian passport. The Passport Act took place of the British Indian Passport and the Passport Act, 1920.
- Indian Constitution Article 9 does not allow dual citizenship. as per the act, If one wants foreign citizenship, he /she has to surrender his passport.

- Ordinary Passport
- Diplomatic Passport
