Nouns And Numbers

There are two numbers in noun.

  • Singular
  • Plural

A) Singular : If We talk About Only Ojne person And one object or thing . that is called Singular noun For Example

  • A group Of Students
  • a pen

B ) Plural : If we talk about more then one person and object , is called plural noun For Example

  • Few Men
  • Knives
  • Laptops
  • Books
  • Pens
  • Pages

Rule 17 ) : Some nouns are always plural; those nouns we will not change in plural For Example

  • Cattle (We always use “are” with cattle rather then “is” )
  • arms
  • People
  • Glasses
  • Gentry
  • Poultry
  • Pants
  • Scissors

Rule 18 ) : Some singular nouns are such that have ‘s’ in their last. For Example

  • News
  • Mathematics
  • innings

Rule 19 ) : Some Singular and plural spelling are the same.  For Example

  • Series
  • Sheep
  • crops
  • fish
  • bear
  • dear
  • aircraft

Rule 20 ) : If there is a noun before or after a preposition, then the singular will come before and after the preposition. For Example

  • Door To Door   (To is Preposition and same nouns both sides  so in this case we will use a singular nouns both sides )
  • day by day
  • student after student

Rule 21 ) : Some Uncountable are always Singular. For Example

  • Luggage
  • Bread
  • dust
  • work
  • advice
  • Traffic
  • Furniture

Rule 22 ) : When there is a numeric term before theDozen , Score, Hundred , Thousand, lakh , million , billion . then , its form will come from Singluar For Example

  • Five Dozen Bananas
  • ten lakh rupees
  • five million dollars

Rule 23 ) : Uncountable nouns can not be plural and do not use the articles before them. For Example

  • air
  • water
  • education
  • wood
  • food
  • hair
  • force
  • strenth

Rule 25 ) : After One Of We will use noun Plural and verb Singular. For Example

  • One of my friends is  a teacher
  • one of my students is form Dehli

Rule 26 ) : if Each Of / any Of /one Of / neither of / none of either of comes then  Noun will be Plural and  Verb will be Singular. For Example

  • Each of Fivr Girls has a phone.
  • None Of five students was joined.
