Every year, National Homeless Persons’ Remembrance Day is observed on December 21. The day aims to encourage the public to act on their behalf. In 1990, the day was started, the National Coalition for the Homeless and the National Health Care for the Homeless Council sponsored it to pay attention to the plight of the country’s homeless population.
