Muslim Womens Rights Day 2020
- Muslim Women’s Rights Day can be seen in India on 01st August 2020. The Day marks as the first anniversary of the law against moment triple talaq. Association Women and Child Development Minister Smriti Irani, Union Law Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad, and Union Minority Affairs Minister Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi tended to the Muslim ladies via the virtual gathering on this event.
What is Muslim Women (Protection of Rights on Marriage) Bill/Act, 2019 –
- As per the new Act, a person will be punishable if he calls for triple talaq and along with it, police will have rights to arrest an accused without a warrant.
- The Bill/Act says Muslim man will have to suffer from a jail term for triple talaq.
- If a Lady uses this act for her personal use that man will have all rights to appeal against her.
