Moroccon King appoints Aziz Akhannouch as new PM of Morocco
The King of Morocco Mohammed VI has elected Mr. Aziz Akhannouch as the new Prime Minister of Morocco. Akhannouch is leading the Liberal-National Rally of Independents (RNI).
- The country conducted the Parliamentary elections on September 8, 2021. In the Parliament elections, the Akhannouch party received 102 seats of 395, and the ruling moderate Islamist Justice and Development Party (PJD) received only 13 seats
Who is Aziz Akhannouch
- He is is a Moroccan politician, businessman, and billionaire and he has around $2 billion fortune.
- Aziz Akhannouch is also serving as the CEO of Akwa Group.
- He has also served as Minister of Agriculture between 2007 and 2021.
- The new PM of Morocco has promised to generate 1 million jobs in the country that will boost the economy.
- He will also make new plans to expand the health insurance and hike the salaries of the country’s educators.
