Mega Food Park organized in Punjab
At Phagwara in Kapurthala district of Punjab, The Mega Food Park (MFP) has been conducted. Mega Food Park’s cost is around 107,830 crore rupees and it is covered more than 55 acres of land.
- It will give benefits to almost 25,000 farmers and will produce more employment opportunities in the state.
- The govt began Mega Food Parks Scheme in the year 2008. it establishes modern infrastructure facilities as financial assistance.
- The role of it is to to bring together farmers, processors and retailers and link agriculture production so that the income of farmers could be boosted.
