The American Association of Journalists and Authors (AAJA) grants up to $20,000 in scholarships (inclusive of the $2,000 Mary Quon Ing Memorial Scholarship) and grants to journalism students every year to help with the costs of education, internships, living expenses, and other opportunities. This Mary Quon Moy Ing Memorial Scholarship is offered to a graduating high school senior who will be attending a college or university to pursue a journalism career. The program includes an award of $2,000.
