According to the report of UN Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD), India has become 9th largest recipient of foreign direct investments (FDI) in the year 2019. India received 51 billion dollars in foreign investment in 2019.
The report says that the global FDI flows will be reduced by 40 per cent in 2020 against $1.54 trillion in 2019.
COVID-19 pandemic has caused lower economies of developing nations in Asia.
In 2018, India received 42 billion dollars of FDI. however, India received 51 billion dollars of FDI inflows in 2019.
