Kerala records 2172 fresh cases and 1292 recoveries
On 23rd August 2020, Kerala state has registered 2,172 new fresh cases of coronavirus. however, Kerala also accounted for 1,292 recoveries.
Due to this, the total cases have crossed the mark of 56,354 cases. on the other hand, 36,539 persons have been recovered and discharged from COVID-19 and Kerala is having 19,538 active cases.
Thiruvananthapuram is accounting for between 400 -500 cases every day and on 23rd August, it registers 464 fresh cases. nine healthcare workers were also infected due to COVID-19.
