Karnataka Assembly has passed the Karnataka Special Investment Region Bill (SIR BILL)-2022 to establish, operate, regulate and manage mega-investment clusters in the state. The bill aims to offer special incentives for new industrial ventures exceeding an area of 2,500 sq km.
- it will also exist industrial units with an area exceeding 1,250 sq km.
- The new legislation bill will be applicable to mega-industrial parks.
