The Maine Water Company offers the Judy Wallingford Scholarship one of two $1,000 scholarships awarded by the fund. The scholarship encourages and promotes the pursuit of a career in Maine’s water and wastewater profession.
The Scholarship will be offered based on merit, character, and need, regardless of the field of study. The award will be a one-time payment and non-renewable. The female candidates will be given preference.

The Maine Water Utilities Scholarship Fund Committee will consider the applications based on their interest in pursuing a career in the waterworks profession and the protection and sustainable use of natural water resources. Candidates will be selected based on merit, character, and level of financial need, regardless of their program of choice. The female candidates will get the priority in honour of Judy Wallingford, after whom the scholarship is named.
