Jan Dhan Accounts Deposits Cross ₹ 1.5 lakh Crore By December 2021 – As per the data provided by the finance ministry, Deposits in Jan Dhan bank accounts have been crossed more than ₹ 1.5 lakh crore till December 2021.
- On 31st December 2021, the total balance in over 44.23 crores Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) accounts was ₹ 1,50,939.36 crore.
- under the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) scheme, over 44.23 crore accounts have been opened.
- As per the finance ministry, 34.9 crores were with the public sector banks, 8.05 crores with regional rural banks and the rest 1.28 crores with private sector banks.
