In a recent development, the 911 emergency service in Douglas County faced an outage on August 31st, 2023, Thursday evening, around 7:30 p.m. As per Kathy Allen who is serving as the Director of Douglas County 911, the state’s 911 system encountered a disruption, rendering residents in the area unable to place emergency calls via the 911 hotline.

Several counties’ 911 systems are having issues at this time. They report that their non-emergency lines are functioning and are available in the event of an emergency.
