The International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV) is observed on 31st March every year across the world.

Purpose:

  • The main purpose of this day is to create awareness of discrimination faced by transgender people worldwide and as well as celebrate their contributions to society.

History:

  • This day was established by Rachel Crandall of Michigan in the year 2009. Rachel was a US-based transgender activist.
