The day aims to rejoice and wear these baggy, often oversized jogging bottoms with pride. The sweatpants are also known as tracksuit bottoms or jogging trousers in some countries.

International Sweatpants Day 2024: History
In 1882, The history of sweatpants started with the founding of the French clothing, footwear and sporting goods company Le Coq Sportif. In 1920, Émile Camuset, the company’s founder, made sweatpants for athletes. The tracksuit bottoms were created of knitted grey jersey and had no embellishments. In 2010, The celebration of International Sweatpants Day kicked off.
