India successfully test fires extended range version of BrahMos Air Launched missile

On 29th December 2023, The Indian Air Force (IAF) successfully test-fired the extended-range version of the BrahMos Air Launched missile. the missile can hit targets at a range of around 400 km. The test was conducted from a Su-30 fighter aircraft. the missile test was the test of the anti-ship version of the air-launched version of the missile.

  • In 2017, the First test of the initial version of the Brahmos Air Launched Cruise Missile was held.
  • The BrahMos has three times the speed, 2.5 times the flight range, and higher range compared to subsonic cruise missiles.
