India and Nepal signed four agreements and launch multiple projects

India and Nepal signed four agreements and launch multiple projects – India has signed four crucial agreements in multiple domains with Nepal and has also launched multiple initiatives. the meeting was held in New Delhi on April 02, 2022.

  • Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi and his Nepalese counterpart Sher Bahadur Deuba were present.
  • The main purpose of the meeting was to boost developmental cooperation between India and Nepal.

Solu Corridor

  • Solu Corridor was handed over to Nepal by the Indian Govt and the Solu Corridor will help in bringing electricity to several remote districts in northeastern Nepal by connecting them to the national grid of the country.
  • The 90-km and 132 kV power transmission line has been built at an Indian line of credit for Rs. 200 crores.

The 35-km cross-border railway line linking Jaynagar in Bihar to Kurtha in Nepal
