IIT Kanpur’s artificial rain to tackle pollution crisis in Delhi

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Kanpur introduced forth a novel solution to light the escalating air pollution dilemmas in Delhi-NCR. IIT Kanpur has designed an approach using ‘artificial rain’ to purify the atmosphere of dust and major pollutants.

The institute worked on artificial rain for more than 5 years and successfully conducted a test in July. Also, the researchers received permission from government authorities, including the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), for cloud seeding.
