‘Hunger Has No Religion’: Hyderabad Activist gets Top UK Award for Feeding the Poor

Hyderabad’s hunger activist Syed Osman Azhar Maqsusi has won the UK Government’s Point of Light Award. he has been feeding thousands of people every day as part of his food drive ‘Hunger Has No Religion.

  • He has been honored with the Commonwealth Points of Light award for his drive that helps to feed 1,500 people on a daily basis. The Commonwealth Points of Light award is for those ‘outstanding individuals who are making a change in their community.
  • Maqsusi’s NGO Sani Welfare Foundation has started the initiative in more four cities Bengaluru and Raichur in Karnataka, Cuttack in Odisha, and Goalpara in Assam.
