Hugo Awards 2023 and Nominations List, When Hugo Awards 2023 will be Announced? – The 2023 Hugo Awards finalists have been declared at the 81st World Science Fiction Convention held in Chengdu, China. The prestigious awards are presented to honor outstanding achievements in science fiction and fantasy literature. With 1,847 valid nominating ballots obtained from members of the 2022 and 2023 World Science Fiction Conventions.

The final voting process will be kept limited to members of the Chengdu Worldcon and winners named will be announced on October 21, 2023, during a formal ceremony at the convention.

2023 Hugo Awards Nominations

The 2023 Hugo Awards nominations marks talent in the science fiction and fantasy genres and have been announced during the 81st World Science Fiction Convention in Chengdu, China.

Notable nominations include Tamsyn Muir’s “Nona the Ninth” and John Scalzi’s “Kaiju Preservation Society” for Best Novel, Kyle Buchanan’s “Blood, Sweat & Chrome” detailing the creation of “Mad Max: Fury Road” stands out in the Best Related Work category.

In the long and short-form Dramatic Presentation categories, a wide variety of works including “Avatar: The Way of Water,” “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” and “Nope” are contenders.
